Portraying John Hossack ‘Provost’ of Inverness, and his wife, Miss Cuthbert of Castle Hill, about the year 1745.
Ink and wash on vellum, displayed in gilded rectangular frames, the reverse of each is inscribed with the sitters’ details. An attribution to James Ferguson, is inscribed on reverse of the portrait of Miss Cuthbert.
