Also known as Jeanne Richard-Bascoules. Richard was born in 1892 in curey-en-Verdunois, 55150, Meuse, Lorraine, France, on 18 Sep 1892. She was a student of Huguette Carron then a teacher at the Lycée de jeunes filles in Metz, a city where she settled in 1919. She appeared at the Salon des Femmes Peintres in Paris in 1947 and 1948. A member of the GAM, she exhibited in Metz from 1945 and made her debut at the Salon de Nancy in 1946. She is sometimes identified under the name Jeanne Richard-Bascoules.
